I am particular about the company I keep, though thankfully my prejudices are largely confined to bad manners and bad wine. Beyond London and Amsterdam, many of my dates are American, while others hail from East Asia and the Middle East. Geography aside, the common denominator is a taste for life’s finer pleasures, a healthy appetite for banter, and an unapologetic enthusiasm for this one and only life.

Good company, after all, knows no borders.
